How do you prevent double bookings?
Our system uses PostgreSQL-level EXCLUDE constraints. When a booking is created, the database atomically rejects any overlapping reservation for the same resource — making it physically impossible for two people to book the same spot simultaneously.
Are the updates truly real-time?
Yes. We use WebSockets via Phoenix LiveView to push updates instantly. When someone walks into the space and checks in at the front desk, the floor plan on every admin and member screen updates in under 50ms.
